The Pias

The Annual Pageant Industry Awards was founded in 2019 to recognise the incredible work undertaken by contestants, reigning queens, businesses and pageant systems within the pageant community in the UK. 

Each year the pageant industry raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for so many amazing charities, it highlights campaigns not only for their charities, but also for numerous projects, profiles and causes in need of awareness.

Obviously we felt that this incredible work needed to be recognised, so THE PIAS was born!

Debbie Hughes is the event director who has been involved in the pageant industry for over 30 years. She has been a pageant contestant, pageant mum, pageant sponsor, pageant director and events organiser. She is also an active fundraiser and ambassador for a Staffordshire based charity called The Peter Pan Centre and an NHS First Responder Volunteer.  So its clear to see that she has experienced every aspect of pageantry over the years and is a worthy ambassador for the pageant industry to bring the PIA's to life.
